Sisters Chillin’ is out to supporting and nurturing the Islamic values through Muslimahs; using social events but in strictly halah ways.
It is a social group for young Muslimahs (both covering and non covering) to gather in an informal social setting. Also an avenue to help sisters make new muslim friends, have heart to heart talks, and deal with real challenges faced by today’s muslimah.
Our target Age – 18-40.
Mission: To support the social, intellectual, spiritual and emotional development of young women according to the Quran and Sunnah.
Vision: To build a strong network of Muslimahs role models within and outside Nigeria .
Objectives
- To come together as young Muslimahs;
- To make friends with other Muslimahs
- For personal development – personality, social relation, skills and connections
- To learn and grow Islamic values in our homes and society
- For to increase their Iman – promoting a deep awareness of Islam
- To participate in social concern affecting women, children or aged in society
- To promote themselves- ideas, business, career etc
Sisters chillin’ was founded in January 2010 by Q. Latyfah. We have host two chill-outs – (sister chillin’ 1 & 2) and hope to have one at least one more before the end of 2010 Insha Allah
Our events:
Our events are occasional and socially inclined- usually in an informal setting (a relaxed ambiance)following strictly Halal rules.
Event types: (all our events will be free or highly subsidized by sponsors)
o Chill-outs : *sisters-only day out, *special events *seminars * funfair
o Visits: Excursion, Recreation, visitations to special homes
o Social support: – Activities toward solving social problems concerning women, children or the aged.
Year plan :- 1 chill-outs per quarter and a least one “visit” & “social support” each per year
